Friday, April 24, 2015 - Commanderie de Bordeaux dinner. Dark ruby. Discrete nose of spices, dark fruit with some foresty spicy tone, brooding and complex. On the palate medium bodied "only" which may surprise you given the vintage but and with still gripping tannins. Ripe fruit while keeping a medium body with excellent balance and freshness really is the hallmark of the 2005 vintage. Consistent to my last tasting note, open this from 2020 onwards.
