Wednesday, May 6, 2015 - These Spate-Trocken wines are always so unique. There is a richness to the wine that is unexpected and although you read Spatlese on the label, the sweetness is really behind the scenes. Nice golden color, citrus and orchard fruits. Crisp minerality. This almost feels like a Chardonnay at times. Acidity is solid. This will age for a long time.
