Sunday, October 16, 2011 - WSET III, part 1; 10/15/2011-10/16/2011 (Portland, ME): Clean, medium-plus (deep) ruby color. Developing, medium-plus intensity nose of black and dried fruit; meaty; smoke and cedar. Dry. Medium-plus body with medium-plus acidity, medium tannin and alcohol. Black pepper, cedar, smoke, and meat on the palate. Medium length. Good. Typical, in a modern style.
