Tuesday, June 30, 2015 - We had a casual evening with BBQ Pork Sliders and Salad. I enjoyed a Belvanie Caribbean Cask, but Devin chose a white. I had this as part of a 2014 stash I bought. I did not give it a chance to breath as I wanted to get to my scotch. This was great. Pale straw colored and a nice mild fruit and floral nose. It was very subtle and not tropical, but more like orchard florals. The fruit continued on the tongue and then you got the mineral tingle so prevalent in many of the big burgs. This was not creamy at all, in fact it resembled more of a Sauvignon Blanc then a legacy Chardonnay. Not what you would typically have with pulled pork sliders, but what a great glass of wine. I think I have a couple more and glad i do.
