Monday, August 24, 2015 - Very satisfying nebbiolo, though I must admit I liked it better when you could buy the black label for less than the $60 this one ran. Tough to justify this relative to some of the top-shelf Barolo and Barbaresco you can get at this tab, although the one thing it offers that they generally can't is early accessibility. This is supple and leans on acid more than tannin for its structure - in fact there is something about it that's genuinely thirst-quenching, but as a result it goes down slick and easy. The flavors are already developed and winey (no primary fruit here), the color already a translucent brick/garnet.
