Friday, September 18, 2015 - Full, gun-powder infused nose, with both dark and red fruit. Intense and surprisingly powerful. Quite oaky, but good integration.
Medium-fullish, oaky and generous palate. Gun-powder, gravel, sand and dried herbs. The fruit is both red and dark (cranberries) and slightly lean (the vintage?).
Surprisingly full and forceful for a Beaune. The Boucherottes is on the border to Pommard, and we thought this showed in the wine.
