Monday, September 21, 2015 - Inky purple and black fruits, with notes of blackberry, blueberry, tar, smoke, and wet slate. Accessible right now, with a friendly tannic spine that creates nice structure for the dark fruit. It did not need a decant in my opinion, and is sure to please as a PnP.

A very good example of a Mike Officer PS, with added layers when compared to the 2007, 2008, and 2010 Palisades PS.

For me, the 2009 is in a great drinking window right now, as I prefer PS to still have some of that rich power and depth. The 2007, for example, has softened and rounded-out to the point where it is lacking some interest for me. The 2009 is nice now, but I would still watch it closely in the coming years, as the backbones of some of the older Carlisle PSs are starting to soften to the point of potentially coming off as muddled.
