90 Points

Saturday, September 26, 2015 - Disgorged 7/15. Wonderfully extracted and mouth filling, but I remain a non fan of wood aged champagnes, although I've had some 10-12 year old de Sousa wood laden champagnes, and at that point, they do show really well, at least those have. Some lemony notes, but not offering much in the finish for now. Wood, unless it brand new fermentation/ageing pretty much needs time to integrate. I think maybe the champanois who are ageing in wood for those few years perhaps need to say that. Nonetheless very rich; especially impressive for a non dose.
