Sunday, October 25, 2015 - At home over white pepper crab. Poured into decanter and drank over 1.5 hours.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour with a youthful greenish tinge. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of sweet vanilla cream and butter balanced with salty minerality, and citrus lemon fruit. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of salty minerality, slight butter and vanilla, integrated nutty oak, citrus lemon, white peach, stone fruits. Medium+ finish.
Very good quality oaked Chardonnay from Margaret River. Could still develop a little bit more over the next 3-4 years. But already very balanced and enjoyable now. Ticks all the boxes and with good citrus fruit packed in. Only gripe is the price point.
