90 Points

Friday, January 22, 2016 - Really Old Chianti (Sunfish Cellars): A small pour at a tasting served alongside a few others. About 1/4" of bricking. The nose on all these wines are spectacular. The palate lets you know it is definitely an OLD wine. Some (including me) would consider this over the hill, but there is something in it that causes you to keep sipping it. Burnt toffee, burnt orange peel, dried mushroom, herbs, light sour cherry. Nose is 94, palate is 88 at best.
