Friday, April 22, 2016 - Even ruby. Wow, what explosive aromatics of black cherry and soil. Fleshier than the vast majority of cru Beaujolais with suppleness and alluring texture. The depth and creaminess of fruit are incredible yet buttressed by excellent underlying structure. For me, this will likely turn out to be the best Côte du Py since the 2009, and at this age, the 2014 is fresher and less overtly heavy than that wine. Amongst the best 2014's I've tried so far along with the Dutraive wines.
