Medium garnet colour with some browning round the edges. Complex nose including dark fruit, leather, tobacco/cigar box and more tertiary notes which were also present on the palate. Acidity and tannins still evident but very soft and well integrated. Medium body, long finish. The wine kept improving over the next hour or so and luckily was finished before it started fading. Excellent wine.
