Sunday, January 20, 2008 - Opened and tasted immediately, but formal notes taken after a 2 hour decant.

Medium ruby color in the glass. Explosive nose of red fruit (cranberry perhaps? not cherry) and pepper fragrance filled the room on opening. On the palate, very smooth with more red fruit, pepper, and perhaps some red licorice. Vibrant acidity and very lengthy finish.
