Wednesday, September 28, 2016 - Get-together with friends. All wines were tasted blind. #12 The wine’s aromas lead me into a limestone quarry at first, but with additional aeration there are also subtle notes of citrus fruits, unripe pears and fine wood. Pleasantly dense with a creamy and mineral mouthfeel, inner tension and zappy acidity. Medium-bodied, with savory herbs and hints of vanilla. Long-lasting finish. Effortlessly manages to complete the synthesis of strength, structure and incited drinkability.

#12 Die Nase führt mich zunächst in einen Kalksteinbruch. Mit zunehmender Belüftung dann dezente Zitrusfrüchte, unreife Birne und feines Holz. Angenehm dicht, Spanung und mit viel Zug am Gaumen. Vibrierende Säure, mittelkräftiger Körper und saftige Würze. Cremig-mineralisch und etwas Vanillin. Langer Nachhall. Schafft mühelos die Synthese aus Kraft, Struktur und Trinkfluss.
