Tuesday, December 6, 2016 - Romanée-Conti v. La Tâche: This is the youngest and most lively nose so far. Probably would have guessed La Tâche for the degree of expression and complexity of the bouquet. Full peacock on the nose with ripe red cherry, stemmy florals, sauvage underbrush, and a good dose of Vosne spice. Coffee notes, herbal, mushroom. Palate is energetic and lively with big mouthcoating flavours. Again, the balance is just unbelievable.
