Sunday, December 18, 2016 - Strong aromas of creosote & black tea, with some notes of crunchy black cherry, & herbes. The finish is still astringent on the first day. 12 hours yields a more drinkable wine. Recommend some aeration prior to drinking and a decanting of the sediment. The last sip offers some cedar, savory licorice, and a clean, balanced finish. Still on the upslope, I believe.
