Friday, March 30, 2007 - Served in double-blind fashion to the Vintage Wines, Ltd. tasting group. Bottle personally provided, so my tasting note is unblinded. Bright disc. Medium garnet robe with brick rim,. Clean nose, opening over 30-60 minutes to show a quite intense and pleasant bouquet of cardamom, coriander, plum and cigar box. Medium-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity and melted tannins. The flavors mirror the nose. The middle thins a bit but a very nice, medium-length finish is resurrected. Interestingly, most tasters identified this wine as Bordeaux, and many guessed '88 Bordeaux!
