Sunday, January 29, 2017 - Nearing full maturity, delightful. Immediate pronounced typical Cayuse aroma of smoke, roasted meat, dark fruits. Full-bodied but extremely smooth and balanced, with flavors matching the nose. Not at all coarse or heavy, but having some elegance. Still some tannin and alcohol noticeable, but in the background. Just a shade less concentrated than several other recent Cayuse syrahs, but excellent. We liked it better than any of a La Mouline 1980-2005 vertical the night before!
