Thursday, March 2, 2017 - Nose: Gorgeous nose full of blackberry, raspberries, woodsmoke, sweet cedar and floral tones. Hint of blueberry reduction at times. Palate: Mid weight with grippy tannins, but room to develop. Blackberry, cherry fruit, tobacco and tar/smoke. Nice acidity and mineral note under a blanket of dark fruit. Finish: Nice blackfruit and smoke with a bit of crushed rock.
This is a fantastic Pessac at this stage, and really drinks well above its price point. Excellent.
