Wednesday, March 1, 2017 - Too bad this had to follow the 2007 Ridge Essence, because whatever story this might have had to tell, just got lost in the wake of the Ridge's tale. Probably best to drink this now, it's not holding too much in reserve. A shimmering gold, this offers an open-knit, fruity and sweet nose that, like the palate, just seems too simple to me. Light>medium-bodied, great acids, simple fruit/finish. Nice, but not something I'd be interested to have again, save another vintage, perhaps. 11,2% abv.
