It needs some serious time in a decanter to start showing its stuff. The most recent one I decanted for 12 hours and it still wasn't showing, I poured it back in the bottle to save for the next day. The next day, I put back in the decanter for a few more hours and it started singing! Absolutely delicious, tastes of a riper style Bordeaux and nothing like the wine upon initial open. Every time I've initially opened a bottle, I've been disappointed, but give it a few more years or lots of time in a decanter and you won't be let down!
