91 Points

Saturday, March 18, 2017 - Dark ruby. Truly perfumed, explosive nose of black raspberry, anise, iodine, earth, pine forest, and violets. Dense, primary blackberry and black raspberry fruit on the palate with notes of cherries, soy, and balsamic chiming in. Copious acidity and chewy but manageable tannin on the structured framework with an undercurrent of Vosne nobility. Long finish with waves of dark fruit, stone edifice, and grip. Too primary for complexity to be sure but what a wallop of a village wine.
