Thursday, March 23, 2017 - Floral (especially geranium) and light spices on the nose. To the light side of medium bodied, but develops some richness through the middle that makes it appear more weighty (12.5% ABV). Similar notes to the winery tasting from November 2016. Soft open fruit at first with a hint of sweetness, deepening through the middle and then some acidity driven tartness and balance on the backside. Probably need to serve it slightly colder to punch up the acidity and given a bit more time, my hope is the middle will become more expressive. Should hold at this level, but this is a wine to be drunk over the next few years. It will endure, not improve enough to justify the holding time.
