Tuesday, May 30, 2017 - One of the most incredible Aussie Whites I've had the blessing to taste.

Was it a bird (Chardonnay)? Was it a plane (Semillon)? We were all stumped. But one thing was for sure:

THIS WAS THE REAL DEAL!

Pure understated brilliance best sums this up.

The sheer elegance, refinement & complexity of this wine had me mesmerised in delicate citrus, lemongrass, slate, nuttiness and cream. The ultra pale yellow should have given it away: this was no Chardonnay. But the velvet-smooth, long creamy drive & finish had me doubting it was a Semillon.

Truly sublime.

Small wonder Halliday gave it a 98 and tag as being the best ILR produced. It was a great wine to try blind. Even at this early stage for Semillon Royalty, which this is. A Wozza 95.5/100 (4.3/5.0) from me. With more surely to come ...
