Wednesday, May 31, 2017 - From .375, purchased on release and stored at 52 degrees. While not a great wine, this is well built and pleasurable. Slightly muted nose, moderately tannic but a nice mid palate of red fruit and earthiness. There is a touch of oak that is noticeable but not off-putting. Finish is a bit short but far from absent. I've read a few previous tasting notes that advise drinking this up soon. In my mind, either those folks haven't been drinking bordeaux long enough to understand how it ages, or got a poorly stored bottle. I'll drink my .375's over the next 5 years and enjoy the 750's for the 15 years after.
