Saturday, June 24, 2017 - Oddly remarkable for the pronounced MLF notes. There's a beautiful sweet cream note to the nose that just draws you in. It doesn't have a flabby, buttery, overblown CA Chardonnay feel, there is just an elegance to it. Adequate, but not piercing acidity and a nice array of more subtle citrus and orchard fruit. There is just enough nuttiness and minerality to let you know you're in Meursault. This isn't wildly complex, but its everything that you could want from a village level wine. This drank well straight out of the bottle, but it had a young feel to it and could keep improving for several years.

Maddeningly, this was $75 at a restaurant in Beaune and I noticed that it runs for like $110 at retail in The States.
