Saturday, March 15, 2008 - Pretty nice stuff for what it is and I think this was crafted as a more affordable Cali chardonnay stand-in. Lemon fruit on the nose and attack with a creamy maloesque palate with peach sensations and apple flavors. There were some hazel nuts in there as well especially on the vanilla led finish. This wine could best be described by Greenblanket's favorite phrase of the week; "generously oaked". And that's too bad because there's some quality fruit here and even a nice bit of balancing acidity. Very good.
