Friday, September 22, 2017 - Still holding on, but this is a drink now to me. Has the violets on the nose and some scents cherry and mint. Was very light on the palate though, some cherry fruit but not overly prominent and falling off for a somewhat short finish. Still for declassified grapes from a vintage with no declared wines from the main Giacosa production, this was an interesting look at what was possible in a quite difficult year for them.
