Monday, May 15, 2017 - Champagnedagen 2017 (Grand Hotel): Still very youthful showing oak, flowers and citrus at first and opening up showing caramell. Very youthfully austere acidic palate filled with citrus and yellow apple and a long finish showing bitterness. After som time in the glass warming up showing more oxidative notes of mature apple.
This cuvée is showing a very youthful and tough taste right now and need a couple of years to settle down. The lovely acidity will last for ages, but I wonder how balanced it will be with the oxidative notes already showing so much. Time will tell, but probably at its best 2024-2029.
