Thursday, November 23, 2017 - Drank from a magnum. Nose was singing from the start with baked redfruit and wintergreen in the foreground. The palate came around at hour 3 with loads of ripe fruit, glycerin, extracted vanilla... Needs several more years in bottle as decanting opened it up but diminished the intensity on the finish. Held its own again a the 09 Chave Hermitage.
