I have to say that the showing today was the best I can recall from this wine. That may say more about me than it does the wine and perhaps this was an aberration that should not be expected in the future. I picked up a couple bottles so we shall see. This had much more brightness and pretty green fruit, more complexity with almond extract and vanilla bean nuances. More importantly for me, this didn't strike me as overtly chalky. It was very clean in its minerality and bright in a such a good way. Perhaps that's not what others want or expect from this terroir or producer, but I loved it. In the past I have often found this to be one dimensional and overly chalky for me.
