Sunday, January 14, 2018 - Dark garnet-purple, totally opaque. Deep, dark fruit aroma which opened slowly and was better the second night. Smoky, roasted meats, with flavors to match. Big and somewhat coarse, more one-dimensional. Won't get any better, but should hold for a few more years. I'd drink it soon, though. This isn't as smooth or complex as his syrahs, which are his best wines.
