Monday, January 22, 2018 - What a powerhouse. The aromas loft plums, black cherries, elegant spices and dark fruits. The palate is deeply saturated with these aromas plus anise, smoky earth flavors, saddle leather, and wood rose. The complex flavors go on and on with complete poise and balance. This Ducru is a knockout right from the bottle. Do not decant. It is so open knit, just let it unfurl in your glass. What a delight. Do not hesitate to open a bottle. This is why we cellar wine.
