Tuesday, February 6, 2018 - I've been tasting this wine regularly over the last 5 years, and whilst it has always impressed, it has taken until now for me to match RP's score. The wine has moved forward in the last 6 months, and now has moved up a level. With a wine gum nose of blackberry and plum, the aromas are heady and fruity. On the palate the fruit is balanced by robust tannin to remind you that you are drinking left bank Bordeaux and the depth is tannic and well balanced. A decent finish completes the wine, but it does leave some residual sourness. Needing a couple of hours in the decanter, it is a very enjoyable wine and exceptional value for money if bought on release or early in its life.
