Friday, February 23, 2018 - After a hard week this is just great. An absolute pleasure to just hold in the mouth and let that 16% alc soak into your membrane.

It doesn't have the complexity, that weird succulent black magic of The Prisoner, but it doesn't miss it. It's has it's own identity. Unashamedly ripe and sugary but it also has a linear darkness of It's own, not multi faceted, but like black sugar and descending. It makes you pause and think.

Wines like like Saldo and Prisoner really make me re think pre conceptions of Zinfandel. Things come in and put of favour. Will wee see a Zin boom one day? I kinda hope so, if it's done well.
