Monday, March 5, 2018 - Tasted at Skurnik Grand Portfolio tasting in NYC and poured by Nicolas Morlet, winemaker. Very big wine. Needs a lot of time in the cellar if you ask me. This blend is 60% Cab Sauv, 17% Cab Franc, 15% Merlot and 8% Petite Verdot. Very spicy and aromatic, very tight and pretty unyielding but signs of graphite, black fruits and cedary notes. A very masculine wine that some may like even more than I, since I tend to be biased toward a more feminine elegant style. I wouldn’t touch this until after it’s 10th birthday.
