This is a very young wine and will improve considerably with 3 to 5 years of more time. My guess is it will score at least 95 points and higher with time

Dark ruby in the glass. Interesting nose with mushrooms, dried fruit, cherries. Medium acidity, lots of cherries and some bramble, black currants. Medium tannins already quite resolved, with some spice, dark chocolate, and slight bitterness reminiscent of unripe Olives; and a moderately oaky ending. This is a very nice wine - elegant, sinuous, fruit-forward and bold but in check. Mostly primary still, and as this was my first Peter Michael I am not sure how this will evolve; it seems a bit muted, although after 2 hours in the decanted it did start opening up. Very enjoyable by itself, I had it with beef tenderloin and it was a great match. 92 today, 94-95 potential. Will wait 2-3 years to open my second bottle.

Opened for 1 hour. The nose on this from the jump is amazing. Big fruit, but nice mix of chocolate, fig, and black olive. The color is a bit lighter than normal, but light ruby colored. Decided to decant after first tasting, as it seemed a bit tight. Wine seems to be in a little awkward phase, some diet soda flavors which I am never a big fan of that flavor. Nose is great with typical iodine from Les pavot, but flavors not as sharp as I usually like for Pavot. Still a nice wine, just not as gripping as I expected. Hint of raspberry, cherry cola, chocolate. Good wine, but not in a great spot IMO. Give it 5 years to transition.

2 hour decant. Bright, with cranberry, açaí, tangerine peel, tobacco leaf, herbs, and raspberry seed coating the mouth and lingering for a long finish. Drink or hold.

A wonderful wine: Notes of black raspberry, plum, cassis, with elements of spice and damp earth. Great balance with long satisfying finish. Tannins are well integrated. Paired with grilled antelope filets.

Deep ruby. Reflecting the warm vintage, this offers roasted black fruit, cassis, grilled herb and lots of mineral flavors. Full bodied with chewy but ripe tannins, medium acidity and a muscular texture. Tasty enough.

Delicious and delightful. Opened, decanted, consumed right away. Mostly fruit, little earth but plenty of structure. Lighter red, well balanced, plenty of room to improve w/bottle aging, 2+ years. Paired perfectly with bucatini w/red onion sauce, burger & fries, chicken paillard etc.

My goodness. Nose: strawberry jam, cocoa, Pinot-esque flower and allspice, and I want to say cinnamon but it's actually . . . peanut. Palate: full-bodied but not heavy, with fresh red fruit that leans astringent cherry, nothing softer. Finish: bitter stone, celery powder, and alkaline minerals. Complexity and balance, but with everything straining at the seams, in tension. I get only superfine tannins, and no sense of heat from the 15.3% alcohol. The development in the glass is awesome: oak carries the nose, fruit the palate, and mineral the mid-length finish. I wonder if 97 is too low.
Very impressive overall wine. Smooth, approachable, complex, and a good balance. Almost hedonistic but not quite. Long, unique, and enjoyable finish. The only con is the price. 65% Cal. / 35% France imho

Incredibly well balanced and smooth for 2015. dark fruit later in the sip, but fresh fruit on the tongue made it great with the meal. decanted in bottle for ~5hrs, but even the taste upon opening was smooth

This wine evolves in an enjoyable way as it opens up. At first, this wine has more of an inky black, flinty profile, standoffish and intense and not ready yet. After about 20-30 minutes of decanting, red fruit emerges and suddenly you realize there's an entire orchestra playing in the background. Frankly this wine is intimidating. I've had plenty of nice wines, but just like the other time I tried this I don't feel equipped to explain the depth of this experience. Unreal. I guess I need to keep trying.
This is profound. I have had some terrific 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon wines from California by now, and some amazing Bordeaux blends too. But this is unreal: potent menthol and eucalyptus, dust and earth, and rich red fruit aromas. Literally had me saying, "Oh my God" as I smelled this wine after about 45 minutes of decanting and chilling to cellar temperature. There is more going on here than I am capable of explaining. Drying tannins for days on the palate, along with red fruits and soem herbal/savory notes. Wow. Savory and meaty on the palate too...so outstanding. One of the best wines I've ever had, easily in the top 10. I'm frankly not knowledgeable enough to explain how good this is.
I've always liked the style of Peter Michael and the 15' does not disappoint. I tasted at the winery along with the Au Paradis (I believe it was the 14' vintage). Of the two, I found Les Pavot to be more approachable now.
Classic PM with the dark fruit, grave/earth, cedar, and some chocolate notes. It is a full bodied wine with a long finish. This had a little more fragrant nose on it and then I found out it was only 60% CS and 18% CF, which now makes sense. I am glad I have 3 bottles to see how it develops over the next 5-15 years.

Opened in a dark steakhouse with barely any lighting so it was tough to get a read on the color. Surprisingly approachable with pop n pour. It's intense and concentrated, dark fruit, cassis, vanilla with a creamy mouthfeel.

Beautiful blended wine that needs more time. Drank over 3 days and it held together beautifully without declining. Being my first dance with Les Pavots, I wanted a taste to see if I should buy a 2016 allocation.
Very spicy and smoky on the nose, liquorice, ripe dark fruit, mocha. Very dense, very youthful, firm tannic structure, lots of concentration. Very long. Needs time, but very impressive. 94-95+

Tasted at Skurnik Grand Portfolio tasting in NYC and poured by Nicolas Morlet, winemaker. Very big wine. Needs a lot of time in the cellar if you ask me. This blend is 60% Cab Sauv, 17% Cab Franc, 15% Merlot and 8% Petite Verdot. Very spicy and aromatic, very tight and pretty unyielding but signs of graphite, black fruits and cedary notes. A very masculine wine that some may like even more than I, since I tend to be biased toward a more feminine elegant style. I wouldn’t touch this until after it’s 10th birthday.
