Saturday, October 29, 2005 - Consumed in my favorite restaurant to celebrate 42nd birthday.
Drank half there, corked the bottle, took it home, and drank the
other half about 3 hours later.
There were pronounced differences in the wine's showing. Initially
it was pretty closed, but still showed good blueberry and dried cherry
(something I usually associate with barolos). The second half of the
bottle reminded me of a big Aussie Shiraz on the fruit side, but also
had some chocolate and tar-like underpinnings.
Great stuff, but I will save my other two bottles for a couple of years.
