2013 Le Macchiole Paleo Rosso

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Sunday, November 4, 2018 - This bottle was approachable after a short decant and I drank it over the next 4 hours. With it being a pure Cab Franc it was bold but not in the least bit one dimensionable. Tannins are present and rounded enough to be enjoyed now but I would wait a few more years if you don’t want to do a 2-3 hour decant. The wine tastes best at 55 degrees, as it approaches room temperature the sharp edges of the tannins emerge and a it of alcoholic heat. Definitely young for sure, will age beautifully. This was a Solid 93-94 rating with potential for the 96-98 range.
