Thursday, November 8, 2018 - Given that your rating scale is 80-85 for good and 86-89 for very good, we are giving this a 85, at the top end of "good". This was a purchase from K & L wines...a Syrah/Grenache blend from Cotes de Roussillon. It had a fair amount of complexity, but was on the lighter side, so it lacked a tad of fruit forwardness that would have merited a higher rating.
Given the style (lighter) and the depth, this would be a good substitute if you were looking and serving a Pinot with dinner but wanted a different red. It is good. DRINK NOW. See this going downhill pretty fast.

11/9/2018 8:19:00 AM - As others have noted, and how I have experienced, the wine really benefits from some air. Three or four hours in the decanter and the wine really picks up some intensity and weight, even the next day. Still, a pretty over hyped bottle.
