Saturday, June 28, 2008 - This bottle was opened as part of an 8 bottle tasting offline event. This in my opinion was WOTN. This was dark amber in color with a golden haze to it. On the nose massive amounts of toasted almonds, caramel, baked graham crackers and boiled apples. The mouth feel was so possessive with brown sugar, baked orchard fruit, caramel, slight amounts of coffee. This was multi dimensional, layers upon layers of fruit and a wonderful balance. Not too overpowering in any aspect, very complex and complete. This is what I would expect from good aged champagne.
