Sunday, January 20, 2019 - Deep, dark garnet in color, bordering on opaque in color. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of earthy/dusty notes, spices & herbs, some herbal & mint notes & a subtle hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, plush, ripe fruit flavors of sweet cherries, mulberries & currants with spices, herbs, minerals, cocoa & a touch of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present, but has the fruit & structure to develop further with additional aging. A blend of 55% Merlot, 30 % Cabernet Sauvignon & 15% Cabernet Franc.
