Saturday, February 2, 2019 - Deep, dark reddish-purple in color. Full, forward & attractive, ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & kirsch notes with overtones of garrigue & floral notes, Provençal herbs notes of rosemary, fennel & lavender, earthy/dusty, spice notes of cinnamon & pepper, minerals & a hint of cedar undertones in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of blackberries, cherries & plums, pepper, spices, herbs, earthy, minerals & a hint of oak. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing although it needs additional time to fully develop at which time it may rate even higher.
