Monday, February 4, 2019 - Wine Dojo - Bordeaux Part One (Elissa's Place): Tasted Blind

A: Very pale ruby with garnet rim
N: Red cherry, redcurrant, dried herbs earth , almond
P: Dry, high acid, medium alcohol, medium body, medium (+) tannin intensity and medium finish
C: Good Quality wine but lacking in length and complexity

Guesses:
No VA on the nose or palate for me but was obviously not a Bordeaux. It was all red fruit and lighter in body. I brought it but didn't know where it was in the lineup. However, it seemed obvious that this was a Sangiovese based wine. Didn't have the extra savoury elements or length of brunello or Chianti Classicos for me but easily said after the fact...right?!?
