Monday, February 18, 2019 - Bought on release and stored at 55 degrees. Served two bottles at a family gathering. Not bad but not up to standards for Brunello. My wife and I got engaged in Brunello region and love good Brunello, which also means we have high expectations. As mentioned before it is more modern than traditional - why mess with tradition that is so good? Opened and slow oxed for about 30 minutes. Bottle #2 was richer and a bit more smooth than bottle #1. Bottle #1 felt more like Chianti and was clearly on a downslope. My wife even asked if something was wrong with it. It was not flawed just deviod of tuscan character. While this wine had a nice price, the quality is not strong enough for a good QPR. I will probably avoid this producer in the future.
