Friday, April 19, 2019 - Very drinkable with room for improvement. Dark cherry and orange flavor, I expected this to be riper than it was. Perhaps more tannic than the ‘14, with a touch less acidity and a plumper mid palate. Still maintains good freshness. I did not think the ‘14 was ready last I had it, but this can be drunk now. Overall, not a terribly complex wine, but good for $30. Also very versatile for Nebbiolo. Once you get into the $40 range, there are some entry level Barolos I’d rather drink.
