Tuesday, April 30, 2019 - Dessert Flight: Excellent nose, loads of honeysuckle and plum with tropical fruit and boytris- almost more like a Sauternes- but the palate is too flinty and acidic for the level of sweetness, which instead swamps the finish with sugary alcohol. My instinct is that this is over the hill- it needed more fruit and more softness around the finish. Still perfectly serviceable, though uninispiring. Maybe benefited from some weaker competition in the tasting.
