Sunday, May 12, 2019 - From magnum and signed by Doug, served for Mother’s Day dinner with H&M. Still drinks incredibly well, likely because of its large-format bottle. Buckets of blackberries, raspberries and apricot pit balanced by a vein of acidity and a still-there dose of barnyard and wet dog. Enchanting cigar box and herbs in the bouquet. Much more balanced than when last tasted almost four years ago. My guess is that it’s past prime in the 750 ml size. But beautiful out of the magnum. One bottle left.
