Sunday, August 3, 2008 - Day 2 note. Smoked ham with cranberry on the nose. Gorgeous nose. Thick currant with tobacco in the mouth. Peppery with great initial mouthfeel. Tannins and acidity lingered, but not as integrated with fruit and else in the wine. A bit hot as well. I am assuming that the great nose will reveal itself on the palate over time, but to me, time is not here yet.
