Wednesday, August 6, 2008 - Nose: Mature nose of sweet flowers with hints of blackberry, raspberry, celery and stone. There is also a very Burgundian barnyard funk and leather nuance that is more prevalent than when this wine was younger. Palate: Bright, high acid and red fruit entry and midpalate with a very clean finish of decent length. I had aged two of these bottles as an experiment and it has paid dividends! This bottle is a dead ringer for Burgundy. This is only their base cuvee and the production is 300 cases. Glad I have one more.
